The dark side
of human nature
When I was in my teens, I discovered the world of film noir in the movies of Robert Mitchum, Veronica Lake, Barbara Stanwyck and so forth. There was something in these movies that I found disturbing yet absolutely absorbing. They had an almost hypnotic effect on my young impressionable mind.
