heroes and heroines
crying out for
redemption.
There are no
such heroes and
heroines in the
nightscapes
I have created
here -- in fact,
most are deserted
save for a solitary
figure here and there
-- but they exhibit
the same starkness
that distinguishes
film noir imagery.
